LIB DEM ACTION ON CARAVANS

Local Councillors Matt and Dawn have been working with the Council, Police and other agencies to tackle the issues caused by motorhomes and caravans on Gordon Road and Meyrick Park Crescent. 

Following continued campaigning by the Lib Dem team, the residents of the caravans were helped into alternative accommodation, and the caravans were moved on. A second vehicle on Meyrick Park Crescent was also removed within just a few days. 

Cllr Matt Gillett said: "We know how much this situation affected local residents and I am glad we were able to get the caravans moved.”

Matt and Dawn are now working with residents on longer-term solutions, including pushing for new bollards around coy pond and overnight parking restrictions beneath bridges to make it easier for action to be taken.
